Adventure Elopement Photography
For couples who'd rather trade a guest list for a mountain summit, a hidden waterfall, or a quiet stretch of coastline — I'm here for it. I specialize in intimate, adventure-driven elopements that capture the raw, real moments of your day: the wind on the ridge, the hike to get there, the way you look at each other when no one else is watching.
Whether you're eloping with just the two of you or bringing a handful of your closest people along, I'll help you plan a day that feels true to who you are — then document it with images that feel like you, not a template. Think golden light, wild landscapes, and photos you'll want on your walls for the rest of your lives.
Services include:
Full-day adventure elopement coverage
Elopement planning guidance & location scouting
Sunrise/sunset "first light" sessions
Multi-day adventure packages (for the couples who want to make a whole trip of it)
Traditional wedding coverage, for those who want the adventure spirit without skipping the ceremony crowd

I'm not just chasing pretty backdrops — I'm chasing connection. With nearly two decades behind the camera, I approach every elopement and adventure wedding as a documentary photographer first: I'm there to capture the real, unscripted moments between two people, not to manufacture a highlight reel of poses. I think of myself as a "Feelings & Details" photographer — the way you grip each other's hands on a windy ridge, the quiet look before you say "I do," the small details that tell the bigger story of who you are.
A few things that separate my approach:
Documentary over staged. I prioritize honest, in-the-moment storytelling over perfection — connection matters more to me than a flawless pose.
Deep Appalachian roots, worldwide reach. Based in East Tennessee, I know the Smokies, the Blue Ridge, and the surrounding mountains intimately — but I'll adventure anywhere in the world with you.
A film photographer's eye, even on digital. I shoot with — and have a well-documented love for — classic film cameras (Leica, Rolleiflex, Hasselblad), which shapes how I see light, patience, and composition even when I'm shooting digitally.
Dramatic, intentional imagery. My style leans into natural light and bold, cinematic moments rather than flat, over-produced ones.
A real person behind the lens. I'm vocal (via blog and YouTube) about my gear, my process, and my journey — clients aren't hiring a faceless studio, they're hiring me.
